- Married Reinhold Hill twice: once in Europe (date unknown, possibly 1952) and once in Canada (Jan. 14, 1973)
- had a kidney transplant in London ON in 196?. Apparently was one of the first successful kidney transplants (no rejection, lived much longer than expected)
